Pregnancy can be such a wonderful time but it’s also a time of dramatic physical change and extra weight from the baby can put pressure on joints, ligaments and internal organs that can cause discomfort and pain mainly in the later trimester. There are also mental ‘feel good’ benefits from massage which can help with the anxiety and depression that many mums-to-be feel during their pregnancy.
Receiving regular massage throughout your pregnancy is a great way to nurture your body and become more aware of your growing baby. It can also help with your ability to relax during labor and can result in shorter and easier births, less pain and a lower rate of post-natal complications.
